Data, Cookies & AI Use
This page explains how Simply Digital uses data, cookies, and AI-powered tools when you visit our website, submit forms, or work with us as a client or talent partner. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Where those documents conflict with this page, the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service control.
1. What Data We Collect Through the Site
When you visit our site or interact with our forms, we may collect:
- Usage data – pages viewed, time on site, clicks, scroll depth, referring URLs, and general location (for example, city/region based on IP address).
- Device and technical data – browser type, device type, operating system, screen size, and similar technical details.
- Form data – information you actively submit (for example, contact details, business information, marketing budgets, unit economics, goals, and talent profiles).
- Campaign metadata – UTM parameters, source/medium, ad campaign IDs, and other tracking parameters used to understand how you found us.
We use this data to operate and improve the site, understand which content is useful, and evaluate fit for our Services (for example, the Revenue Decision Review or System & Profit Engagements).
2. Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags, scripts, and local storage) to:
- Remember your preferences and improve site performance;
- Measure how visitors use our site and which content performs;
- Attribute leads and inquiries back to channels and campaigns; and
- Build anonymized audiences for advertising and remarketing where permitted.
2.1 Types of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies – required for the site to function (for example, security, load balancing, basic session management).
- Performance & analytics cookies – help us understand how visitors use the site (for example, Google Analytics or similar tools).
- Functional cookies – remember preferences (for example, language, forms pre-fill, or cookie consent choices).
- Advertising & attribution cookies – set by or in connection with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, or other ad networks to measure campaign performance and, where applicable, build audiences.
Some cookies are set by us (“first-party cookies”), and others are set by third parties whose services we use (“third-party cookies”).
2.2 Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies in several ways:
- Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Doing so may impact some site features.
- Consent banner (where present): If we use a cookie banner or preferences tool, you can adjust your choices there for certain categories of cookies (for example, analytics or advertising).
- Platform-level controls: Some ad and analytics providers offer their own opt-out tools or preference centers.
Blocking or deleting cookies does not prevent us from processing information you voluntarily submit (for example, through forms), but may limit our ability to link that information to sessions or campaigns.
3. Analytics, Attribution & Call Tracking
Because Simply Digital focuses on unit economics and performance, we use analytics, attribution, and call tracking tools to understand how marketing translates into leads and revenue. This may include:
- Web analytics – tools like Google Analytics or similar that measure visits, behavior, and funnels on our site.
- Tag management – tools like Google Tag Manager to manage pixels and scripts.
- Campaign tracking – UTM parameters, click IDs, and ad platform tags to attribute inquiries to channels, campaigns, and keywords.
- Call tracking (where implemented) – dynamic number insertion and call tracking services that may use cookies or scripts to tie calls to sessions.
We use these tools to evaluate how our own marketing performs, diagnose tracking issues, and improve the relevance of our content and offers.
4. AI, Automation & Model Use
Simply Digital uses AI and automation as part of both internal operations and client delivery. This may include:
- Summarizing or analyzing form submissions and intake data;
- Drafting messages, reports, or campaign ideas for internal review;
- Scoring or prioritizing leads based on fields you provide (for example, budgets, ACV ranges, and timelines);
- Building or QA’ing dashboards, Cut / Fix / Double memos, and analytics views; and
- Supporting appointment-setting workflows (where allowed by law and subject to your contracts with us).
4.1 What Data May Flow Through AI Systems
Depending on how you engage with us, the following categories of data may be processed by AI tools we use:
- Business-level information (for example, industries, services, budgets, deal sizes, markets, and goals);
- Aggregated or pseudonymized performance data (for example, channel performance, ROAS, or funnel metrics);
- Public or public-like information (for example, website copy you ask us to review or public social profiles you ask us to assess);
- Contact details and form fields where you explicitly submit them and ask us to take action (for example, follow-up, call scheduling, or scoping).
We do not intend to use AI tools to sell your lists or to train general-purpose public models in a way that exposes your confidential business information. Where we use third-party AI vendors, we seek configurations and agreements that limit data use to providing the requested service and improving security and reliability, not training open public models.
4.2 Human Oversight
AI outputs are tools, not final authorities. Our team reviews AI-generated insights, drafts, and scoring before using them for client recommendations or external communication. We treat AI as an assistive layer on top of human judgment, not a replacement for it.
4.3 No Automated High-Risk Decisions
We do not use AI or automated decision-making to make legal, medical, or financial determinations about individuals, nor do we use it to make hiring or firing decisions without human review. Our AI use is focused on marketing, analytics, and operational workflows for businesses.
5. Third-Party Tools & Data Sharing
To operate our site and Services, we rely on third-party providers for hosting, analytics, advertising, CRM, scheduling, call tracking, email, and AI infrastructure. Examples may include (without limitation):
- Web hosting and infrastructure providers;
- Analytics and tag management tools (for example, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager);
- Advertising platforms (for example, Google Ads, Meta Ads), including their pixels and conversion tags;
- CRM, email, or marketing automation platforms;
- Scheduling tools (for example, calendar booking widgets);
- Call tracking and contact routing tools; and
- AI and automation providers used to support internal workflows and client delivery.
We share data with these providers only to the extent needed to operate the Site, deliver Services you request, comply with law, protect our rights, or as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your personal information in the sense typically defined by U.S. state privacy laws.
6. Data Retention
We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide the Site and Services;
- Maintain accurate business and accounting records;
- Evaluate performance and improve our offerings; and
- Comply with legal, tax, or regulatory requirements.
Retention periods may differ for different categories of data (for example, website logs vs. client project records). Where possible, we aggregate or anonymize data when detailed identifiers are no longer needed.
7. Your Choices & Rights
Your options include:
- Managing cookies through your browser and any consent tools we provide;
- Choosing what information to submit in forms (keeping in mind we may need certain fields to respond);
- Unsubscribing from marketing emails using the link provided in those messages; and
